INTERVIEWS
I went to the Kroc Center and the Wilson Family Y to interview some knowledgeable nutritionists and trainers about health and fitness.
THE INTERVIEWS
During the first interview, I gathered mainly tips, but for the second and third interviews, I asked a set of questions.

KIMBERLY HOWELL
Kimberly Howell gave me a few simple tips when eating:
-Avoid sodium! (which slows the immune system)
-Teens need more calories than adults( (they burn more too)
-Water helps our bodies function
-Protein is good for snacks in between meals and helps keep you more full

THE QUESTIONS
The questions asked were:
1. Overall, what do you consider a good exercise plan for teenagers?
2.When you set up an exercise plan (or meal plan) for someone, does their height and weight matter?
3. Do you have a special chart or way to keep up with your plan?
4. How important is drinking water?
5.What do you see as a problem for teens or anyone keeping up and staying on track with their plan?
6. What are the best tips you could give to someone to stay on track with their plan?

AMBER FORBES

2. Yes, and you should get with a nutritionist and figure out what's right for you.
3. Meal prep (planning out your meals) if time permits.
4. Yes! Water is very important and it keeps the body working.
5. Write down what you want to do, put it somewhere you know you’ll always see it--remind yourself why you’re doing this and what your goals are.

BAYLEE BINSOM
1. If your muscles have hit puberty, you should train with weights, if not, do bodyweight exercises like push-ups and outdoor sports.
2. Yes, it should be around 1 gram per pound lean body mass.
4. Water is very important. It breaks down protein and is used for growth and repair.
5. One would be just life itself and not having time. Another would be finding motivation.
6. Remind yourself why you're doing this: to get buff, to lose weight, etc. Also finding a good teacher/coach/trainer to help you out plays a big part in keeping track of your plans.
